Socialist, searching for a principled politician, willing to do the difficult not the expedient, to support. Employment law caseworker. R/ts not an endorsement.
@BenjaminBadejo Nothing says the US and Israel lost the war quite like the astonishing public recriminations and acrimony between the losers following their defeat.
@DejectedEarth@HananyaNaftali A Jewish settler in the OPT can stand for election to the Knesset and can vote in those elections. Palestinians in the OPT can’t. So Jewish settlers get a say in the ‘Palestinian-only death penalty’ law, those it applies to don’t.
Apartheid.

They raped a man.
They gang-raped him.
They raped him so brutally that he had to be hospitalized.
Doctors documented the injuries.
The video of the assault was leaked.
Now the rapists are free.
This is not just unlawful and immoral. It is sick!

There is no need to defend Trump or Vance in order to see their point. It is nearly impossible to believe that a dedicated cabal of American neocons and Israeli blowhards managed to convince the world that the main threat to its "security" was a nuclear Iran.
This is a narrative based on gaslighting, itself rooted in a good ol' college try to live out the fantasy of capitalist and colonialist supremacy - it is always the fault of the brown (preferably poor and religious) man that those who had wielded power for centuries can no longer reap thw fruits of their innate privilege. This began with, and still is, about Palestine, the final Alamo of this campaign. Iran was never the main issue.
This makes it all the more ridiculous that an entire "first" world would be allowed to hold the specter of "Iran" above the rest of the world. There is no need to defend the Islamic Republic in order to see this. The leap from the countless horrors of an illegal occupation to a "battle of civilizations" is evidence of moral bankruptcy.
Trump and Vance are outliers in this Capitalist world. Vance is a Johnny-come-lately only too happy to sell his soul for power. Trump has always been just on rhe right side of imbecilic (later, demented) to be tolerated. Their understanding of reality is crass and brutish. It is precisely for this reason that they seem to be the only ones telling the truth right now. They lie openly for self-interest. No aspect of this self-interest is served by taking Israel on so brazenly.
With their limited capacity for truth and their limitless vanity, they adopt principled positions only when they would be personally compromised otherwise. Israel had duped them (according to highly qualifies reports, this was standard Israeli MO) into an "operation" in Iran with promises of quick glory. Vance, in fact, remained highly suspicious throughout. When Israel's promises blew up in his face, Trump tried his damndest to hold the fort. He could not stave off a most severe global energy crisis. He then decided, in typical Trump fashion, that it was truth time.
Whatever happens now, it is crucial to bear this in mind (if not tatoo it on one's chest, "Memento" style) - Trump and Vance are telling the truth. Israel and its lackeys are lying. This has been demonstrated in countless ways. This is the time to side with truth.
@marklevinshow The Iranians now know that they can close the Strait of Hormuz with low cost drones. Don't be so arrogant that you presume that they will not use the time available to them to hone their strategy and improve their munitions to better ensure that they can do so again.
Haaretz should probably have a chat with their digital team - kinda weird to share this piece and not mention who wrote it.
Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert!
Remember those horrific pictures of Jews liberated from Auschwitz?
This isn't one.
This is a Palestinian man released after 26 months of Israeli "administrative detention." No charge. No trial. No legal rights.
"Never again" sounds noble. It just turns out it was never meant to apply to everyone.
The Israeli government currently holds roughly 3,500 Palestinians under this system, and has issued more than 100,000 such detention orders since 1967.
October 7th wasn't the start of this. It was a reaction to it.
Why don't we hear anything about this?
🚨 WOW! JD Vance is DIRECTLY calling out Israeli cabinet members for their personal attacks on President Trump
"Donald J. Trump is the ONLY head of state in the ENTIRE WORLD who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to be the head of state of the world superpower.
If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have ANYWHERE left in the entire world."
"The other thing that I would say is that over the last 3 months, TWO-THIRDS of the defensive weapons that have protected your homeland have been built by AMERICAN HANDS and paid for by AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS.
The problem for Israel is not Donald J. Trump, and anybody in Israel who thinks their biggest problem is the President of the United States needs to WAKE UP and smell the reality of the situation that country is in."
Today in Haaretz there is an article accusing Israel of being a terrorist state (plus committing crimes against humanity). It was not written by a Marxist member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
It was written by former Israeli PM Ehud Olmert.
London's Metropolitan Police are not investigating the Great Israeli Real Estate Event which took place in a London synagogue.
Please RT until they do.
Thank you.
@gidonsaar@kajakallas Maybe she’s read the ICJ’s opinion? Maybe you should!
It’s official: Israel is practicing Apartheid in the OPT.
https://t.co/SP3cTBZT0a
This is so humiliating for the EU - and @kajakallas.
They’ve bent over backwards for Israel.
They’ve taken no meaningful action against Israel’s genocide, war crimes, occupation and apartheid.
And still Israel thumbs its nose at these collaborators!
@afneil Iran won this war through its resilience and through its use of abundant low cost drones to close the Strait of Hormuz, leveraging the inner logic of capitalism against the world’s most capitalist country. No insurer would insure against the risk, not at affordable cost.
