Thank you to our amazing team that worked christmas day. You rock the christmas jumpers well. We are grateful to have such a dedecated team to make this time of year special for the patients in our care @NottsHealthcare
So, in the last two weeks, TWM has said goodbye to Dave, our environmental coordinator, and Fay, our karaoke queen/HCA. They have worked in the trust for over 30 plus years and have been an asset to the team. We will miss them both, but enjoy your retirement
@NottsHealthcare
First Saturday of the month, the unit OT supports with activities, and OTA supports the third Sunday of the month. Today, OT completed a baking session with a fairly new patient. Strawberry cheesecake was his choice. @AHPsNottsHC@NottsHealthcare
Today's adventures at 106 TWM. Another weekly cooking session with OT. Patient growing in confidence and creating a very complex meal from the Mary Berry cookbook. Pic of cookbook and pic of dish @AHPsNottsHC@NottsHealthcare
Today's OT session. Spaghetti bolognaise, bacon, and garlic bread. Recovery goals for a patient who used to stay in her room. She loves the cooking sessions and has asked for OTs Mary Berry book for her next session.

Patient goals are so important. When a patient wants to bake but can struggle with confidence and isolation. She managed to work with Sarah, our OT, to bake red velvet cookie dough with cream cheese frosting. #rehab#goals@NottsHealthcare@AHPsNottsHC
Yesterday, our OT and one of the residents went to the garden centre. They saw some lovely things, now to plan what is needed for TWM. Resident thought the small watering can and plant pot were funny π

We had lots of lovely craft donations given to the unit. Today, our OT and patient made 3D cards. This patient finds engaging difficult at times, but next week, she wants to do some baking in her weekly OT session. #rehabilitation#crafts#goals#therapeutic@NottsHealthcare
Self-catering in the kitchen with Paula. The patient is so grateful for the support with his new eating plan and getting healthier. He is achieving his goals and working towards his discharge pathway.
One of our patients is moving on tomorrow. He made this card in our art session this morning. There were some very kind words on the inside to all the staff for the support that they have given. OT asked what he enjoyed the most. He said, "The walking group on a Monday." π
Very busy day on the unit. Thank you, Paula, for coming in on your day off to support patients to paint the furniture. Paul for supporting 1.1 work and the short walk with Fay. Susan and Sarah for card making group and Emma for the psychology group and the amazing patients.
Therapuetic activities on the ward this week have included the community meeting, positive arts, and lots of 1:1s, doing self care, planning , budgeting plans, and much more. We have not had so much therapy support due to half, but thanks to all the staff for support with OT.
Today's positive psychologist art session with Sarah (OT), Richard (nurse), and our lovely volunteers Jess and Lilly. The patients were very supportive of each other and came up with some amazing strengths.
Paula has been working with our guys to bring everyone homemade butter and scones. These will be lovely with a cup of tea in the sunshine π #homemade
