IPPG medical posts in Machermo and Gokyo (Nepal) have been forced to close, after 17yrs serving trekkers and porters. Being “replaced” by a government-supported private clinic which reportedly overtreats and forces helicopter evacuation for mildly unwell trekkers for high fees
