i built an app that converts any space into a digital clone in minutes
as the founder of Teleport - the only iphone app that can capture high-quality 360° panoramas - i already had the perfect input when @theworldlabs released their 3d reconstruction api
📍 first test - a co-working space in chiang mai 🇹🇭
the flow:
1. capture 16 ultra-wide photos
2. stitch into a 360° equirectangular image
3. reconstruct a fully navigable 3d environment via @theworldlabs api
there’s something profound about exploring these 3d worlds. it brings you back in a way photos never could.
spent the weekend turning my @bumpbyamo location data from the past year into a 3d scratch map
the taller the tower, the more times i've been in that area
update: enhanced 3d world generation just dropped in Teleport with @theworldlabs marble 1.1
16 iPhone photos → fully explorable 3d world in minutes

update: you can now generate a digital clone of your space by just looking at it
ray-ban meta glasses → fully navigable 3D world in minutes

📍 my friend’s studio in tokyo
if you want to capture 3d worlds like this, you can try it in the teleport app today
meta integration coming once the sdk exposes imu data :)
finally, we’re hiring. if this kind of stuff excites you, dm me why you’d be a good fit
the meta wearables sdk is still pretty limited
no imu data, no white balance lock, lower resolution than native capture
i ended up wiring my own gyroscope into the glasses just to track orientation 😅
a ton of exciting things to build here, but first @meta pls expose imu
update: this just went live in Teleport
capture a space → generate a fully navigable 3D world in minutes

a bunch of you said this would be huge for real estate 🏡
so i pushed it further: virtual staging just went 3d 👀
the flow:
1. capture 16 ultra-wide photos
2. stitch into a 360° equirectangular panorama
3. feed that into @NanoBanana with a staging prompt → generate a newly staged 360° image
4. reconstruct that into a fully navigable 3d world using @theworldlabs
you’re not just staging photos anymore -
you’re staging space
i’m starting to think 360° panoramas might just be the bridge between 2d and 3d worlds
edit the pano. edit the world.

@maxym3D@NanoBanana it definitely can. that being said, those inaccuracies were usually the exception rather than the rule - though it can vary significantly depending on the prompts you use
@th2049@NanoBanana very cool! I agree that the loading time isn't ideal, but it's still significantly faster and cheaper than physically staging a home. right now I'm using gemini 2.5 flash image which takes ~15 seconds to generate the edited version
