@deadendxd@ShitpostRock Let’s say someone did write something like that, where would you expect it to be published? Most, if not all, traditional publishers are occupied by the fifth column.
@Spoiled3lf since palps had unfettered access to technology of both sides of the war and near unlimited funds, I don’t think it’s a far reach to assume he had a scrambler in place to make such methods impossible.
@muhsymbolism@TiffanyFong most retarded take I’ve ever seen in regards to the 2nd Amendment. What state are you from so I can insult you more accurately?
@MapEffects@CDuds2024@jondelarroz I did know that, as I've read W&T. Did he ever give a reason? As I understood it, he is a morman. It surprises me that he'd compromise his faith this hard.
I found he's an excellent worldbuilding, but yeah, the shoving of deviant sexualities in his narrative was pretty blatant.
You’re a retard. Or being intentionally anti-human for some reason. Herd animals and hives defend each other. Humans build communities and systems that not only strive to defend each other, but uphold individual prosperity. Even if these systems sometimes fail or are abused. We do it.
@BarbarianDisco Absolutely. I've just noticed in some fantasy books that are post-2000s, the characters use therapy talk and what not. Things, ideas, and concepts that were not a part of society yet and it drives me up a small wall.
I feel that sooner than later, the idea of an objective righteous hero will be lost in favor of protagonists who simply go and fight for "their" side. Or even worse, writers who ensure their personal enemies are always depicted as vile enemies of all.

Alright, this account has been set up in the hopes of attracting discussion for Fantasy and TTRPGs.
The TTRPG Industry is no longer comprised of 20 nerds in their mom's basements rolling dice, but a 2 billion USD industry that is attracting new consumers and investors.

In stories where there is no true evil, no true good can rise to meet it. In worlds where all are accepted no matter code and creed, there is no need for brave heroes to exist.
In a sense, I believe the direction storytelling is going in the industry is self-destructive.
