The Oregon US Attorney’s Office has won a court battle against four Oregon counties seeking the whereabouts of more than 40 violent illegal aliens released from custody without notifying ICE.

At least 14 of the illegal aliens convicted of child s—x abuse, manslaughter, and other serious offenses have now been arrested by ICE and HSI. Currently, there are over 300 illegal aliens in Oregon jails with active ICE detainers.

The Democrat-controlled state legislature in February struck down a GOP amendment to its sanctuary policy that would have required compliance with ICE detainers pertaining to felony-convicted illegal aliens.

A man ran for the United States Senate and his own town never saw a single yard sign.

Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. is a retired elementary school teacher in Petersburg, Alaska. He announced last spring. Dozens of Petersburg residents told CBS News they never received a mailer, a flyer, a brochure or a sign in the seven months since.

The Division of Elections disqualified him in June. The Alaska Supreme Court put him back on the ballot two weeks later. He finished THIRD in the August primary and stayed on the general ballot anyway, sharing a name with the sitting senator he is running against.

He told the New York Times he voted for Mary Peltola. Twice.

The Times reported Wednesday that people aligned with Peltola's campaign helped recruit him. Alaska's governor ordered an investigation the same day. Peltola denied all of it at a rally in Juneau, saying she knew of no candidate on that ballot except herself and the incumbent. Friday a U.S. Attorney stood up in the federal building in Anchorage and called it a sprawling conspiracy to prop up a sham candidate.

Then CBS went looking for the candidate himself.

He is gone. He left Petersburg days before any of it broke.

Ballots are already in the mail.

Nobody disappears from a race they are trying to win. 💎
