There's also the aspect of being warned that these guys are explicitly going to use these data centers to destroy their jobs--and no, nobody will train you to work in the new AI economy nor will you have the opportunity to go back to school for it since tuition will never be paid off if you do AND whatever jobs ARE available will be taken by an H1B so you'll never have a shot anyway. Even Elon has said he will die on this mass job theft importation hill.

So what exactly does the average Joe need this for? They're boxed into a corner and being told they will be made irrelevant by billionaires importing third world idiots to automate the giant job killer machine. They will be pushed out of their homes by crushing insurance, property taxes, interest rates, and inflated housing prices. The communities their families built for hundreds of years must now change to become more third world friendly and covered with feces and needles because it's not for them anymore. It's for a billionaire just because he WANTS it. The church must become a mosque. The baseball field must be made into a soccer field. Oops, I mean football because the third world insisted we call it that and your son--if you can have one--isn't going to be the quarterback because the welfare goblins the billionaire imported to crush your family insist on voting for the people that will try to brainwash and castrate him because trans children are very important.

It's just full-on warfare against the American family and nobody is buying the line that it's really all for our own good anymore. It's been decades of lie after lie after lie in order to pillage this nation and wipe its people out, explicitly. They're pretty clear about that now.

You'll have to forgive the blue collar workers of the world for not plan trusting the hedge fund managers and private equity that are liquidating every business in town and put an end to private sector pension plans and shipped every manufacturing job overseas and shipped in millions of foreigners to compete against Americans for college admissions and scholarships while we got hundreds of thousands of dollars in non-dischargable debt and universities swollen with millionaire communists for staff devouring our tax dollars and neighborhoods with eminent domain to continue the endless leviathan march of the university campus expansion for the sole purpose of making more debt slaves to build the tech machine for the billionaire class while everyone else doesn't just get left behind: they get consumed.

A .22 can for $800 is stupid, but we are in a MAD demand environment. I did a bunch of research and ended up getting a Dead Air Mask for my .22s. These are roughly $500 and mitigate first round pop very well compared to many others and has great performance for its size. It's also rated for plenty of other small 22 cal rounds, not just 22LR. It is very good on everything I use it on, but I wouldn't pay $800 for any .22 can.

With rifle cans, you're buying decibel performance, low back pressure, full auto rating, exotic materials, licensing with said materials, patents, R&D, size, flash suppression, weight, etc. There's a lot more going on there.

22 cans are comparatively more basic since a 22 just doesn't need a lot of controlling to suppress, but there are still real differences between lower-end and higher-end 22 cans. But $800 is stupid.

Why is this positioned as 'arming teachers = mass handing out of guns to untrained retards' when the only request anybody ever put on the table was to stop arresting and prosecuting people who train and carry that also work on school premises that must disarm for no good reason?

Why would you go out of your way to frame the debate in a way to allow the left to win? You are saying here that if YOU took a job as an educator, you shouldn't be allowed to carry because teachers are all too stupid to do this and cannot be trained.

But that's not the real argument, and you know it.

Yeah because they provided them zero training and filmed them walking through a scenario having no idea what to do in order to make it look bad.

It's more credentialism nonsense from the left. The "magic badge" doesn't make you a proficient tactician or shooter.

That whole video was an attempt to re-shape the debate from "allow teachers to carry," into, "look how stupid forcing teachers to carry is."

Nobody asked you to support handing out guns to teachers. We asked you to stop the arrest and prosecution of teachers that choose to carry who otherwise already carry.

They know that. They're just changing the terms of the debate to a format they can win.
