@Alice3960 even later my reply 8') (sorryyyy) But thank you so so much for the recommendations alice! I love to also get input from different languages, since I probably wouldn't come across them just like that! <3
Any poetry lovers among you?
I've never had much to do with poetry and the like, but wanna delve into it a bit.
If you have any particular poems / poets you like, please share!
@Seiashun You have a good point there! I think I should work on not worrying too much about those things, since nowadays I guess it's basically impossible to make it look just the way you want on every device. Thank you for your feedback on this! Makes me doubt my skills a lot less haha <3
@VeryDinosaur Thank you Dino!!! I'm really happy that I managed to paint the details throughout the whole piece and not stop halfway through like I tend to do hahah
@Seiashun I'm just always so insecure about those things, because on my monitor i really like it, but then i saw it on my phone on not 100% brightness and I could barely see anything OTL so I'm scared all that a lot if people won't see the work I put into the details
@Gadappo yea, well he wouldn't be worth to be looked up anyway lol
Oh I actually bought Der Prozess after visiting the Kafka museum in Prague! shame I never finished it 8)
@Gadappo well... he never visited, he hates his hometown with every cell of his body LMAO didn't stop school from making a yearly festival in his name just for him not to show up. and he's just not a good author lol
I think it was ok? like, I don't have much an opinion on it hahah
@Gadappo oh, we never did that kind of stuff... we literally just read real crappy shit because it was a local author (a huge asshole at that) and then wrote a biography and a short summary. one of our exam questions was literally to draw the bug of Kafka's Metamorphosis :'D
@PsychaterNr1 And I think even if it's meant to be night, I guess it could be better solved from an artistic standpoint - making it more readable. If only I weren't too lazy to do studies 8')
@PsychaterNr1 well... see here's exactly the problem I had with this painting :D I couldn't settle on a certain setting/mood. I wanted it to be like early morning light - which frankly it looks a lot more like it on my monitor. Maybe I have to recalibrate :'D
@Gadappo That's so cool tho! personally I feel like school ruined that a little bit for me. They only ever forced us to read the stuff they wanted, instead of encouraging us to explore the huge variety there is in literature and maybe even finding something you'd enjoy.
@Gadappo Thank you so much for all that information - holy shit! I've already copied it all into a file and gonna look up the authors you mentioned and their works! This will certainly keep me occupied for a while hahah
@Gadappo Holy balls, that was a whole literature class dump! ๐ that's all so cool! besides Der Zauberlehrling and maybe one or two other poems, we never looked at much at interesting stuff in school (not even Faust), so I was also never really interested in that.
