@michelletandler ? It was assigned to you. Assumedly, assigned correctly. But sometimes doctors get this assignment wrong. [see, intersex folks who aren’t initially visible at the skin level] They can’t say “you are XYZ” without a margin of error, so it’s “assigned” because it’s an educated guess
@ligmathong@MGCraig_ It’s not. As far as we know, this boss googled and looked at other people’s fanfics and was just scandalized finding out fics had the ability to be nsfw? Which is wild because when someone is any other type of author we don’t make that type of leap, despite raunchy romance books
@corrupt_touch This is so funny to me as a writer of fanfic who specializes in found family, and when it isn’t found family its fics about a canon father son due being reunited. Can’t believe some people assume all fanfic is sexual, I’m repairing families over here lmao
@TRICROTIC12@MGCraig_ I feel this!! Maybe it’s just because I’m an exclusively SFW author myself who hasn’t actually written any romance fics, but I feel like such a big portion of fanfic is sappy found family! If someone volunteers “I write fanfic” I’m like OOOoo, who’s the dearly beloved character?
@Modemavin@twinkletweetu Well, you were pregnant. And then it died. I think people are allowed to be upset by that, even if it’s more about the fantasy of a baby than an actual viable baby
@ishygddt72@twinkletweetu Well, to be fair, in our modern day we just have more technology to catch pregnancies early. Most miscarriages happen so early, it happens before your next period was due. So a woman who miscarries between regular periods doesn’t always notice, yk?
@mrreebo1@twinkletweetu I have a dear friend who’s been pregnant twice, still no living baby 🤷 Both were planned and wanted. First one miscarried, no explanation, second one stillbirth (very premature but too developed to be considered a miscarriage) and it just.. never developed a bunch of stuff
@cynnamonspyder@no1comicsansfan@goldmedalpj I don’t think she’s sexist. I think she would have been fine with a three straight women, since it would have eliminated her worries all the same. When Grace asked her about it, she told him that if he wanted her to change the standard, to tell his fem students to go into STEM.
@CovenantofUs@hell_line0 Conservatives also tend to view these things as more mandatory. And just because one goes through the motions of marriage and having children doesn’t necessarily mean that they feel fulfilled by it, yk? Theoretically, I could do that. But I don’t think I’d enjoy it.
Genderbent Ryland Grace so we can both be women in biology who cut their hair w/ kitchen scissors when overwhelmed
Can we please call her Ryleigh 🙏 I think it’s such a cute name please
