@MargoinWNC First, I prefer homeschooling for those who are able. As a retired public school teacher, it’s much easier to teach 3 vs 30 without administrators’ focus on anything but discipline. Then there are language barriers to try to overcome. There are many obstacles in public education.
@slvrbltbeergirl@ericmmatheny I’m a retired teacher. Our school tried a computer program for students who needed extra support in Math and Reading. Unfortunately, the computer can’t force them to participate. The teacher ran around trying to keep them focused. Not sure how AI would fare better.
@misshapenident1@0Beanie05923291 I agree. Unfortunately not the way teachers are currently evaluated, which is why I was curious. Too bad more don’t think like this!
@misshapenident1@0Beanie05923291 As a retired teacher, I am curious: How would you account for the students who come into the classroom at the beginning of the year who are 3+ grade levels behind, those with learning disabilities/special needs, and non-English speakers who’ve never had formal education in US?
@HugoMtz007 @EricLDaugh@jetaime244 We need to get enough states to join the Convention of States and pass some amendments to the Constitution, starting with term limits for Congress!
@aritt1018@Gamecockology@aritt1018 Absolutely not. We are better than that, and the players don’t deserve that from the fanbase. PM and others, however, definitely need to go. Forever to Thee!
@JJWatt I typically don’t tip at the iPad, but if I receive good service, like pleasant personality, offers to refill a drink, just a check in to see how you’re doing), I’ll leave a cash tip in the tip jar on the counter. Most still have them.
