That’s exactly right. Up to this point, the Spurs had been trying to keep Wembanyama near the paint, often relying on drop coverage in pick-and-roll situations to protect the rim.

Recently, however, they appear to have expanded their defensive rotations after switching, showing a noticeable shift in scheme.

While a larger sample size is still needed to confirm the trend, at this stage it seems clear that San Antonio has adjusted the way they’re using Wembanyama on both ends of the floor — a strategic change aimed at breaking out of their recent slump.

The Spurs are making adjustments against defenses that try to force Victor Wembanyama out to the perimeter.

In the two games since De’Aaron Fox returned, Wembanyama’s involvement in inverted pick-and-roll actions and his three-point attempt frequency have increased dramatically.

*Before Fox’s return (7 games): 3-point attempts accounted for 17.8% of his total field-goal attempts (25/140)
*After Fox’s return (2 games): 3-point attempts accounted for 47.3% of his total field-goal attempts (18/38)

During these two games — when Wembanyama’s three-point shooting, previously held in check early in the season, surged — the Spurs’ offensive rating climbed to 121.1, ranking sixth in the league.

While it’s worth noting that those games came against the Pelicans and Bulls, Wembanyama’s evolving shot profile remains a significant development to watch.

지난해 순위 추첨 당시 정관장 김성기 단장(당시 사무국장)은 딸이 선물한 네잎클로버 부적을 가지고 현장을 찾았고 결국 1순위 지명권을 얻었다.

그리고 1년 뒤, 김성기 단장은 그 네잎클로버 부적을 오늘 추첨 행사에 참가한 이승민 사무국장에게 건넸다. 결과는 또 다시 1순위.

오늘만큼은 정관장 팬들에게 이 네잎클로버가 세상 최고의 보물처럼 느껴지지 않을까.

LG는 모비스와의 4강 시리즈에서도 타마요를 프림에게, 마레이를 장재석에게 붙이는 변형 매치업으로 큰 재미를 봤습니다.

그리고 챔프전 1차전에서는 타마요와 유기상을 수비의 키로 활용했습니다. 특히 유기상을 김선형의 맨마킹 수비수로 쓰는 대신, 최원혁에게 붙였습니다.

유기상을 타마요와 함께 페인트존을 커버하는 세컨드 로머(roamer) 수비수로 쓴 것인데, 이것이 제대로 통했습니다.
