I wonder if it’s a misunderstanding of the intent of the film. It seems some people don’t understand the humor. The mocking of how stupid the he-man cartoon was, are some of my favorite parts. Hilarious. Those that haven’t seen the old cartoon might assume the film is being serious and roll their eyes. The reasons for the corny names is so creative, and the inclusion of Earth was done well. I am in my 50’s, and was a huge He-man fan, I still own all the toys I had since I was in grade school. I was expecting a terrible film, but it seems the writers knew that, so they wrote it in a way to not take it so serious, just have fun with it, very successfully done in my opinion. I’m going to see it again.
