police are specially trained when to and when not to use force, although occasionally protocol must be altered for their safety, police are specifically trained and influence to act a certain way.
In 1997, Pennsylvania v. Mimms was a Supreme Court case in which states that a police officer ordering a person out of a car following a traffic stop and conducting a pat-down to check for weapons did not violate the 4th amendment to the U.S Constitution.
everyday officers do so many good things for our community that go unnoticed it seems as if people only point out the negative events that occur with police. this is just how it happens for everyone though, all the bad we do is the only thing others see or hear about sometimes!
police officers r given a bad rap 4 most pics and vids out rn and though we don’t see the good they do, the good ones out there really r gr8 role models to the youth of society! on top of this policemen wake up every morning knowing that they r going out to risk their lives 4 us!
police SHOULD NOT be aloud to just kick out people’s feet from underneath them causing harm! the fact that this needs to even be said is crazy because though it is their job to protect us, it is still their job to protect EVERYONE! that includes EVERYONE!! https://t.co/p2N9nM1bRI
In 2012, I wore a hoodie on the House Floor to make a statement about the deadly consequences of racial profiling. On Wednesday, @RepMattGaetz wore a gas mask in the chamber, making light of an epidemic that has killed 14 Americans.
Guess which one of us was forcibly removed.
if you are wondering, “what do I do if I get pulled over by the police?” watch this informational video and/ or read this article.

police need to be trained to what is reasonable and showing them that they are police and not above the law. policy changes that need be changed is to remove the stop and frisk policy in other areas other than New York!!
Michael Bloomberg started the stop and frisk movement which allows any police officer to stop you and search you with the target primarily on african americans. Eric Garner was a victim of this policy and was choked out by a police officer to death!!!!!!!

roughly FOUR OUT OF TEN working women say they’ve experienced gender discrimination at work! women earn less for doing the same job, treated as if not competent, get no support from senior leaders, feel isolated, denied a promotion or job every single day!!
racial profiling is the use of race or ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of having committed an offense. it is the ascot of suspecting or targeting a person of a certain race on the basis of observed or assumed characteristics or behavior of a racial or ethnic group!
Bloomberg did not “cut back” stop and frisk. He continues to lie about this, and it’s disturbing.
A judge ruled stop and frisk unconstitutional. Bloomberg fought for *years* defending the policy, and only reversed course when he decided to run for president.
Stop and frisk was not a “mistake.” It functioned precisely as designed, as a campaign of terror and pressure, violating the bodies and rights of 100s of 1000s of yng blk and brn boys & men. They were not collateral damage in a righteous campaign; they were victims of Bloomberg.
