In 1997, Pennsylvania v. Mimms was a Supreme Court case in which states that a police officer ordering a person out of a car following a traffic stop and conducting a pat-down to check for weapons did not violate the 4th amendment to the U.S Constitution.

everyday officers do so many good things for our community that go unnoticed it seems as if people only point out the negative events that occur with police. this is just how it happens for everyone though, all the bad we do is the only thing others see or hear about sometimes!

police need to be trained to what is reasonable and showing them that they are police and not above the law. policy changes that need be changed is to remove the stop and frisk policy in other areas other than New York!!
