๐ข The 1st U.S. President George Washington warned us about the dangers of political parties in his Farewell Address to the Nation. This is what he said:

It appears our government agencies have become partisan, which should never be the case. America, remember: be nonpartisan as much as you can. It is not left vs right. It is them vs us.
If there's anything we've learned from the shenanigans in Congress the past few weeks, it is that there isn't a single political party in favor of the People. We must vote for sound policies, not for personalities.
It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus, the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another." - George Washington, 1796

What does it mean to be Nonpartisan?
It's more than simply not belonging to a political party.
It's recognizing that political parties are institutions and sets of ideologies.
It's recognizing that individuals are much more than that.
Yes, there are schools with buckets of cat litter. But it is for bathroom emergencies during active shooter drills (& real life scenarios). Banning this would potentially harm students during any lockdown situation. https://t.co/GmlU8CXOhr
