We are living in the Golden Age of Filmmaking Knowledge access. When I went to film school there was only five film schools in America. Now there is over 5000 plus we all now have access to the fundamentals and knowledge of filmmaking at our fingertips. Every child has the opportunity to understand which hopefully will allow them to be inspired to go make a movie themselves. Awesome time to be alive!
Just read about Charles Freundlich, a writer who began writing short stories at the age of 80. He published a volume of short stories each year. Now at the age of 92 he just released his 12th book!
As the year comes to a close, TCM remembers the actors, filmmakers and creatives we lost this year.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Song title and artist: "In the Western Wind and the Sunrise" by Dave Simonett and the Sunrise.
Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment; and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey.— Harold V. Melchert
Just finished watching “Pale Flower” on TCM. Truly amazing film and the discussion after the movie by Eddie Muller was the best film insight since Roger Ebert!
@ELonMuskNewssX I love everything you’ve created and I have friends who love their Teslas! You are inspiring a whole new generation of inventors and idea creators! Thank you!
