Tony Holohan is a patriot, an incredible public servant & a doctor who has saved thousands of lives through his leadership. He has kept us safe. I valued his counsel as Minister so much. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us. We think of them & respect their privacy
We move to phase 3 on Mon 29th June. Very low levels of #COVID19. What worries me most now is travel from overseas and I fear many planning foreign trips. 2020 is a year for a staycation. Stay in Ireland, spend locally and follow public health advice. @roinnslainte@HSELive
Some good news: The reproductive rate has fallen even further to between 0.5 and 1. At beginning of April, 100 people a day were being admitted to hospital with #COVID19. That is now reduced to 40. The next 12 days matter and what you do matters. Stay the course and #StayAtHome
Calling all medical professionals abroad who want to return to the #IrelandVsCovid fight: WE WILL FLY YOU and WE WILL HOUSE YOU but we will never be able to THANK YOU enough. Please share RT this form and help us #AnswerIrelandsCall. Thank you, all. 🇮🇪 https://t.co/HMZ6ORkFHf

I know I sound like a broken record but I need your help to slow the spread of #Covid19.
Please stay at home if you can.
Act as if you have the virus.
Wash your hands. Keep your distance.
And together, we can save lives. #coronavirus#COVID19ireland

At Ashford Castle, we continue to light our exterior up in the colours of the Irish flag for an hour nightly.
A tribute to our country's resilience, we use this display to pay thanks to the doctors and hospital staff dealing with these unprecedented times.
Go raibh maith agat!
Faced with a brand new test for a new disease, Ireland got almost 40 testing centers up and running in 3 weeks, and are close to breaking into the top 5 in the world for tests conducted per capita.

But, it is with a heavy heart I must announce that my wife of 48 years, Susan, lost her battle against the deadly coronavirus last night. I’m devastated😞 Please everybody take this virus seriously, that’s all I ask.
Take care, everyone❤️
Tonight, I looked back at the building I’m privileged to work in & was reminded it’s #SaintPatricksDay ☘️This year, Solidarity with all our friends across the globe - tough days ahead for so many countries. I’ve never seen such unity of purpose in #Ireland, proud of who we are.
We are so grateful for the incredible reaction from the Irish public in response to our decision to cancel #DaffodilDay. We’ve been inundated by supporters asking how they can help. If you’d like to make a donation, please do so at https://t.co/JTim5OYmHB. Thank you so much 💛
