Why are humans so touchy about the placement of their souls? 🤔

Mostly raging about poor pandemic handling, cranky old hag
I'll need to travel for work next week and I'll bring the Aranet4 Home to measure and tweet the results.
What readings are interesting to follow? I'm thinking at least boarding planes, security check and airport spaces, hotel rooms and public spaces. 🤔
I have a friend who very clearly has #longcovid and ME-like PEM. Any tips or resources I could offer her? What testing to ask for, medication to try? She gets a fever if she does too much stuff (the worat of her PEM, exhaustion and fever). I'd love to help her...
Whooping cough cases up 5x this year
100,000 global measles deaths - mostly in kids
H5N1 steamrolling towards pandemic status. Egg prices skyrocketing.
The new administration had better have a strong infectious disease response plan- and had better ensure public health and vaccine confidence stays high. Or they’ll be distracted with outbreaks for 4 years this time instead of 1. 🤷🏽♂️
@the_fit_fem Not yielding when walking down a street. They can yield, for once. They're often confused. "WTF ehy isn't this woman moving out of my way?". You move, motherfucker.
A friend is newly diagnosed with fatigue (and it's clearly Long COVID). I would like to point her towards helpful resources in terms of how to care for herself and what to ask for from health care professionals.
Other than masking and being covid conscious how can i support her?
We live our karate in our community, but anti-maskers live in fear of dangers that N95s don't present: CO2 poisoning, hypoxia, bacterial infection. They don't understand the physics of N95s, like layering, Van der Waals forces, electrets, Brownian motion. I feel sorry for them.
I met with a group of teenagers yesterday. One of their teachers had suggested that I talk to them about career paths because they're all anxious about exams, university choices and future work.
Instead of talking to them, I listened, and the actual problem was very different.
A CDC study found
Surgical masks in indoor public settings cut the chance of contracting the coronavirus by 66%.
Higher-quality N95 or KN95 masks reduced the risk of infection by 83%.
A mask protects not only against the coronavirus but other respiratory viruses as well.
Remember how we were also supposed to get COVID so we could stop getting COVID?
How’s that working out?

Snarky exam question: If the two top students in your physics and biology classes continue to wear N95s, how long will it take you, their teacher, to question why you don’t?
