That’s how my whole family in Colombia turned from everyday Catholic mass-goers into Evangelicals in the span of like a year. It’s weird

Mexico is not a race. It is a country. Some Mexicans are pure Indian heritage. Some are African. The bulk are a mix of European and American Indian. The most pale-skinned woman I ever knew was a Mexican who spoke with a strong stereotypical accent. My guess is she was of almost pure Spanish ancestry.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints founded many colonies in Mexico. Technically, Salt Lake City itself was founded in Mexico, because it was started before the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which transferred the intermountain West to the USA.

A lot of the church's colonies in Mexico were pillaged and destroyed by Pancho Villa and his cronies during the early 20th century.
