I really, really hesitate to call anything a false flag operation. It's a dangerous thing to do. But it seems that the text claiming responsibility actually did describe Palestine as the Land of Israel. No Muslim would do that, in Arabic or in English. I've been covering these types of movements for two decades. This never happens.

Resistance and sumud have always been led by women.

Across this movement, women are preparing the boats in the ports, organizing teams, coordinating logistics, telling the stories and holding communities together. From sailors and mechanics to organizers and communicators, women are at the heart of this mission.

Too often their work goes unseen. But movements for justice have always been carried forward by women who show the way, do the work and refuse to give up.

As we prepare to sail to challenge the siege on Gaza, we recognize the women of this movement and the women of Gaza whose resilience continues to inspire the world.

Mediterranean sea conditions mean we cannot sail until Spring. But lives are on the line and Palestine cannot wait.

While we prepare our maritime mission, the man-made humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has reached a breaking point. We are hearing directly from local committees and refugee camps: families are receiving less than 30 percent of what they need to survive.

Talk of ceasefire “phases” has not stopped the starvation. The 600 trucks required daily have been slashed to less than 250, and even those are often used as commercial props rather than real relief. Meanwhile, the Israeli regime is selecting and blocking essential items, specifically the shelter caravans needed to keep displaced families from freezing in the winter mud.
