In Iran, the 40th day after a person’s death is marked by a memorial ceremony. Now, to prevent families from holding ceremonies for loved ones who were killed, the Islamic Republic has deployed special forces and military equipment across the country.

In several cities, they have begun arresting people and opening fire on protesters. They have even raided schools and detained students.

All of this is happening while the world is attempting to negotiate with the Islamic Republic.

It is truly shameful that dialogue and diplomacy are being pursued while repression, arrests, and violence against civilians continue.
