Days like today are when you see who are the classy, sensible and respectful reds in the #MUFC fanbase and who are the new generation faceless e-reds without a shred of integrity or empathy that just love to trash & disrespect our own players.. 😔

He will forever have my respect for how he carried us at times, played amazing for Ole, gave us plenty of highs, scored some banging goals and assists and for being one of the only recent academy graduates (since the class of '92) to breakthrough and properly cement his place in the first team for 9+ seasons. He lived the boyhood dream.

That said I'm wise enough to realise this is the right time for all parties to move on. The last 2 years his head has been away, he never seemed right after the 2022 world cup, he has looked like he is playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders. People will specualte, call him every name under the sun but nobody but Rashford knows why he's checked out. It's such a shame.
A fresh start now for everyone is much needed and the right path.

I can't deny I'm gutted, it wasn't meant to turn out like this, he was supposed to lead us back to glory. I really hope he can use this time away to sort his head out, but I fear he's not going far enough away for this to happen. Who knows, maybe one day in the future, if he can prove his desire, commitment and that his head is back in the game he can come back, but for now.... its time we look forward as a club and focus on the talent we have in-house that are ready to rock and run through brick walls for Ruben.

Manchester United is bigger than any single player including Rashford. Life goes on and I'm buzzing for the 2nd half of the season, a strong finish and watching Ruben build his empire.

In the Champions League I'll be cheering for Villa now, and would love to see Rashford playing with a smile on his face and force his way back into the England setup 🙏
