the "cliffhanger" that segment ends with is like a season 1 ending of a netflix original TV series. & the continuation, which shies away from any proper continuity, feels like a season 2 written by a new showrunner.

by the end, the uncanny imagery felt bland & no longer haunting

the web series as a basis handles most of the legwork. from there, you can nip the relevant parts of House of Leaves and Silent Hill 2. instead, we get therapy for an architect's (lol?) domestic dispute as the frame.

the found footage segment was handled well & unsettling, but
