The story of the “loaves & fishes” from Luke is one many of us have heard, even as kids.
It is a powerful message we need to hear again & it’s also appropriate that our children’s Pastor, Garrett Oppel, bring that message tomorrow @mpbclife.
We’d love to see you!
What would it mean for Jesus Christ to have all of you?
Not just a section,
Not just a compartment,
Not just a slice,
Not just an hour or two each week.
All. Of. It!
Live each day, all-in, for Jesus.
Live the life of following Jesus:
~ with urgency - people are perishing;
~ with dependence on the Lord - you need Him;
~ with contentment - Jesus satisfies;
~ & with a readiness to be rejected - the world will not love you.
Live the life & proclaim Him faithfully.
Jesus has given us the power to accomplish what He has sent us to do. That power is not a thing.
He is the Holy Spirit and He dwells in you as a disciple!
As you think about your life as a disciple, are you “living the life” or just “eking out an existence?”
Jesus makes the difference!
Let’s talk about it tomorrow @mpbclife.
We’d love to see you!
Jesus has won the battle against death, now and forever.
He is Jesus, the Christ,
the conqueror of the grave,
the victor over death,
the crusher of the serpent’s head,
the Alpha and Omega,
& the Resurrection and the Life.
He is our hope!
You may not know everything about what it means to be a follower of Jesus,
but know this:
Jesus is who you need to make you whole.
We’re all unclean, but He is gracious and merciful and with just one touch, He heals all our brokenness.
Come to Jesus.
Jesus walks with us, helps us & carries our burdens.
The greatest burden He bore for us, however, is our burden of being under the wrath of God.
He gives rest for our souls & carries us all the way home!
We live in the digital age & it’s easy to run to the internet to find answers we’re needing. That’s good for changing brakes or stopping leaks, but it falls short in matters of life.
Where should we go? Come to Jesus!
Let’s talk about it tomorrow @mpbclife.
We’d love to see you!
Come to know Jesus as Lord.
Count the cost & realize He is worth the cost of following Him.
Apart from Him, we’re dead in sin, in bondage to evil, & have no hope.
But in Him,
we have new life,
freedom from bondage of sin,
& are finally full of hope.
As the disciples went through the storm with Jesus in the boat, they learned some things:
He cared about them;
He is in control;
He keeps His promises; &
He is faithful & trustworthy.
When we go through the storms with Jesus, we learn the same things.
Trust Him in your storms.
No one is so far gone that Jesus cannot save.
He has the authority & the ability to completely deliver & transform anyone!
Heb 7:25 “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”
If Jesus has the authority that when He speaks, even the wind and waves obey Him, shouldn’t we obey Him?
Who do we think we are when we disobey?
We are saying we have more authority than Him!
Listen to Jesus and obey Him.
As we walk with Jesus, we get to know Him more. That’s what the disciples did and they learned so much as they experienced His work.
Do we really know Him and if so, do we live that way?
Let’s talk about it tomorrow @mpbclife.
We’d love to see you!
Just as light exposes darkness, the Word reveals everything dark in us.
We need the light of His Word to help us see clearly.
Ps 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Hearts that turn to the Word of God for guidance,
comfort,
assurance,
overcoming sin,
and seeking the will of God,
will bear fruit of looking like Jesus.
Let’s get into His Word daily.
It’s one thing to believe the Word of God (and we should), but do we really hear it?
Do not just give it honorable mention, but rather apply it your life.
Allow it to penetrate your heart and shape you for the glory of God.
