@JeremyClimas @petejleonard “Units”? Already in use colloquially for utility meters readings. Just capitalise it and be done. And then deal with all the fun new misunderstandings.
@jburnmurdoch@SophieWarnes@danwilsoncraw So based on it being cold inside, the heating is inadequate to heat the home, physically limiting the fuel consumption so the EPC is only a D. But improving the heating system so it’s adequate will worsen the EPC and make the short comings ‘visible’. Hmmm
@D0dgyDav0@archer_rs Agreed (as a daily Brompton user). Twitchy steering is much improved if you fork out for the luggage mounting block and put your bag over the front wheel. Better for your back too. All the criticisms in this thread are spot on. But the compact & quick fold are the plus.
@bethsawin Life?
4000 Weeks by @oliverburkeman has really helped me gain perspective through a particularly acute period of this type of thing. Even at a rate of a couple of pages a day.
@TrevorSCL@ProfDaveAndress I had no idea what you were talking about, and had to look at the picture again (thanks for that). I guess it’s authentic working camouflage then.
@digitalfailure @MCRCycleSam The theoretical rationale for them being there doesn’t stop me being frustrated when I come across a car in the box though!
@digitalfailure @MCRCycleSam Completely agree if people are queuing into the box when the light changes. But I don’t think it’s that daft a rule. Braking in a car on amber it can be safer/only possible to end up over the first stop line and shy of the second. I.e. in the box. Better than running the red.
