@scfcharvey CB is not on that. He is likely on a decent wage as we didn’t pay a fee for him. That’s standard for free agents.
You can’t just dish out contracts that aren’t affordable.
Don’t you think Walta is his replacement anyway?
If the right offer comes in we should take it.
@scfcthomas Cash in. If clubs can offer him 30k a week, they can give us 20 million for him.
No player is bigger than the club. You have to adopt that mentality.
He didn’t even play in midfield, he would be quality im sure but him and Walta won’t be in the same team anyway.
@ScotlandSky Defenders need to chop their arms off. Absolutely ridiculous arm is in a natural position for what the body is doing.
It’s like getting a penalty for hand ball when a collision caused the arm to be there. Oh wait 😂
@ScotlandSky Firstly is it clear that it hits the hand? Secondly if the hand hits the ball is it caused by the Celtic player hits his elbow? that then moves the hand toward the ball.
Interesting one tho.
@bfgfox@ABitOfPork Wow what glasses are you wearing. It’s a clear elbow to the head = a red card.
Nathan Wood pulls a Swansea players shirt in the box, which is a pen and a red card.
And your moaning?
Franco kicks the ball at the Southampton player and rightly is booked. There is no stamp
@JakeMc0594@AlfieHouseEcho He leads with the arm in front of his own face. Not natural.
You could argue it was unintentional and he put his arm up to protect himself but it’s an elbow to the face.
Don’t think that would be a sufficient defence. He was subbed at half time and that tells you everything.
@BowenWilkie The pull is outside the box and momentum takes him inside. However it’s a pull and looks like a goal scoring opportunity.
Ref just jibbed out of making the call.
@WillHughes_11 Eom is outside the box unfortunately but it’s a clear pull and a denial of a goal scoring opportunity with no attempt to play the ball. So it’s a red card offence.
Ref bottled it.
@JasonRees7 I think you’re missing the point here, yes form has us 10th in the league but that would be just off the playoffs.
Unfortunately that is going to be the reality of the situation for most clubs.
The target for the smaller clubs is playoffs or a dream season and get promoted
@PaulAbbandonato@Cymru Very easy to blame players. Cullen didn’t do anything wrong? He’s not a midfielder player and we had chances to win it when he was on the pitch.
Harris lay off to Wilson was fab and ball should have been in the net. Score his pen.
I’d argue Johnson was a bigger disappointment.
@stujames75 Do we have to give new younger players time to adapt? Last season people were not impressed by VP.
Hopefully Widell and Inoussa adapt.
Season is over now, get Ward in at RB and let’s give Ethan, Widell, Stamenic, Walta game time to develop.
@SwansOfficial@SkyBetChamp Chuffed for him. Had a lot of slack. Rightly or wrongly but the whole squad has been low on confidence.
Matos slowly building a squad. Picking a team best to compete with the opposition.
@elis_24_@SwansOfficial@WatfordFC Parking the bus. Ward, Fulton and Stam all have height.
Expect a lot of time without the ball. However Fulton has been tidy every time he’s played recently we have to acknowledge that.
@VitalSwansea His tracking back, and energy under matos you can’t fault.
It’s the final ball he struggles with, pressure or lack of experience at this level?
It’s not ability as he puts some nice deliveries into the box when no one is there.
At his age, the next 12/18 months are key
@stujames75 Is the reliance on young untested championship players causing the issue, Are they just feeling the pressure for example
Fulton looked calm against Birmingham and I don’t think they score if he was on the pitch.
If they keep the standard against Birmingham they’ll be fine
@GutoLlewelyn It’s like a different squad, they are a good side to watch. In football you don’t always get the results you deserve. I feel Swansea have gone from getting wins they didn’t really deserve under Sheehan, to now losing/drawing when they deserve to win, Which is a massive positive
