Dear Pastors and youth leaders, please don’t compromise God’s standards of holiness in the church for the sake of evangelism.
And this is the @Dare2Share guy talking here! My life’s mission is ”every teen everywhere hearing the Gospel from a friend.”
Gods Word is crystal clear on many issues, including the issue of sexual immorality.
Those who do not know Jesus as their Savior should be welcomed with open arms into our churches and youth groups. The gospel should be declared and, if/when they put their faith in Jesus, we should rejoice and help these new believers grow in their faith.
Part of the sanctification process is helping these new believers realize they are new creations in Christ and that “the old has gone, the new has come” 2 Cor 5:17.
They are now identified as children of God (Galatians 4:7.)
What if they refuse to walk in newness of life when it comes to their sexuality? We lovingly take them through the Matthew 18:15-17 process as the Bible also teaches.
How should we deal with those who are genuinely struggling to live in victory over a particular sin? We help them! We pour into them through discipleship (2 Timothy 2:1,2.) We teach them God's Word (2 Timothy 4:1-4.) We lift them up when they fall and get them back on the path of holiness (Galatians 6:1.)
When a church or youth group affirms sin of any kind for the sake of evangelism, they have crossed a dangerous line.
Church leaders do not risk being disciplined by Jesus like he disciplined the disobedient churches in Revelation 2 and 3, some of whom were tolerating sexual sin in their midst.
In closing, I challenge you to have a youth group and church that is open to all. Everyone should be invited to come to Christ, just as they are. Then, once someone claims the name of Christ, we must lovingly help them to live a lifestyle that matches that claim.
Nothing can so quickly cancel the frictions of life as prayer. If you find yourself growing angry at someone, pray for him—anger cannot live in an atmosphere of prayer. - William T. McElroy
Because Jesus was born we have hope.
Because Jesus died we have forgiveness.
Because Jesus rose we have joy.
Because Jesus ascended we have longing.
Because Jesus will return we have urgency.

We are not worried or panicked about elections, no matter how important they may seem. For that matter, we don't worry or panic about anything. Instead, we seek the kingdom of Jesus and his righteousness with true peace and total confidence in his supreme reign.
On the surface, while the Internet, smartphones, and the rise of the gig economy appear to be connecting us with one another, they’re actually doing the very opposite. They’re exacerbating the problems of disconnection, isolation, and loneliness.
@PaulBarasi Every day I’m on my knees repenting! Are you? Just curious, did you attack the OP the same or was it just me because I mentioned abortion? Because it seems to me that the original thing claimed to speak for God way more that I did,
@PaulBarasi So killing unborn babies isn’t murder? Ok. I admit that my using Jesus calling the children and the Jeremiah and Psalm verse might have been a little bit of a stretch, but still appropriate. However....a bible-abuser? Let’s resort to attacks!!! Yay!
@CSLewisDaily Seriously? No where do I see Jesus saying “this shall not vote for Donald Trump.” To say Christians cannot vote for him is way wrong. And...no where in your list did I see anything about abortion. I’m pretty confident that Jesus would have some thing to say about that.
