There is no “Kabaka of Buganda.” There is just “The Kabaka”
By saying “the kabaka of Buganda,” we force the reader to assume that we have multiple Kabakas and this particular one is for Buganda. One would think there is a Kabaka of Rwenzururu, the Kabaka of Busoga, the Kabaka of Teso etc
In Uganda, there is only one Kingdom with a Kabaka. I think saying “Kabaka of Buganda” is redundant while writing for the Ugandan audience. It is similar to saying the “Pope of the Catholics” Or “the Mufti of the Muslims”
