Bloomington and 35th was held for 7 hours, withstanding two sweeps. Neighbors and friends re-erected the blockade within minutes after both sweeps - before police had even retreated - [1/5]
Ridiculously, the police showed up in riot gear with 3 dumpster trucks and closed off all entrances to the block - after protestors had already cleared the street and left for the night. Onlookers from nearby houses and businesses quickly appeared to confront police presence. [4/
