I am disappointed in today’s decision by the Supreme Court of Maryland.

It is pretty clear we are in a post-constitutional era, one in which Supreme Court justices can act as legislators. Article 8 of the Maryland Declaration of Rights says that the legislative, executive, and judicial powers “ought to be forever separate and distinct,” and that no person exercising the functions of one department “shall assume or discharge the duties of any other.” Article 14 gives the General Assembly — not the courts — the duty to prescribe the form of a constitutional amendment on the ballot. Today, the Court took that duty for itself.

The Supreme Court's decision confirms that there is no real consequence for the General Assembly breaking the law. Due process is something you can ignore. The single-subject rule is just a mere suggestion. If the state misses a deadline that the rest of us have to meet, the Court will invent a workaround.

It's important to remember that the State missed many deadlines that the General Assembly itself passed into law. That is a violation of the law, not a technicality that needs clarification. The next time you miss your car registration or file your taxes late, ask for the same courtesy the General Assembly just received. See how far it gets you.

The General Assembly got caught lying on the ballot. The Court did the homework for them. Two circuit courts found the question misleading and took it off the ballot. The Supreme Court agreed that the language was misleading and violated due process. They then refused the only remedy that mattered. Instead of leaving a dishonest question off the ballot, the justices rewrote it. That is not judging a case. That is legislating from the bench.

Judge Gould wrote, joined by Senior Justice Harrell, that the Court should not draft ballot language. Even the replacement text still hides what voters are being asked to do. They are being asked to surrender state constitutional protections that are independent of, and sometimes stronger than, federal law.

Two justices said the quiet part out loud. You are voting away rights you already have. And they still will not tell you that in plain English.

Question 3 should never have been rescued. A constitution that can be rewritten from the bench, on a missed deadline, with a misleading summary, is a constitution in name only.

We are currently reviewing the order with our legal team and looking at our options.

Until then......

Don't vote your rights away by voting yes to Question 3. Vote NO on Question 3. Then vote Republican down the ballot. Marylanders have given Wes Moore and his allies enough ground. Not one inch more.

That is who and what they sent to scold a school-board mother over a cartoon.

"Foreign Terrorist Group" CAIR Stages Televised Struggle Session After Forcing Maryland Conservative School Board Member Through Mosque “Re-Education”

The Left-wing Media called it their big story. Reporter Bryant Reed (@Reed_Reports) stood in Windsor Mill and presented a filmed confession as a friendly mosque visit.

Here is what actually happened.

Baltimore County school board member Maggie Litz Domanowski posted a Peanuts cartoon. Linus holding a sign: “If you fear MAGA will take away women’s rights, then you should learn about Sharia law.”

She wrote, “Not wrong.” THAT IS IT!

CAIR Maryland came after her. Take it down. Apologize. Reaffirm every student’s “equal dignity and safety”or resign.

She pulled the meme. She tried to say she was not smearing every Muslim, that the record is Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Iran, the Taliban.

(Do you see it, America? She named Sharia, and they made the crime about one child’s feelings so no one would have to answer for Islam)

BUT NO - THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH!

At a packed board meeting, they tore that statement up. Removal was “welcome.” CAIR Maryland jihadi director Zainab Chaudry said the rest was “not an apology.”

Criticizing foreign governments was not the point. Naming Sharia as a threat was the crime. Then they issued the price: a direct apology and a mosque visit. “If you refuse, then there should be consequences.”

She broke in that room.

“Hearing it from your voices and seeing your faces, I understand now. And I am truly sorry.” She accepted the mosque invitation. “I’m looking forward to understanding the Muslim community more than just Sharia [Islamic law]”

That was confession one!

Confession two was the mosque - and CBS put it on television.

Islamic leaders toured her through the Islamic Society of Baltimore to make sure she “fully understood.”

They sat her down for a “heart-to-heart about the damage.” They produced a 13-year-old to talk about bullying “because of her faith.”

The cameras rolled. She apologized again. She hurt feelings. She did something wrong. “We all need to be a little bit nicer to each other.” She would take the “lessons” into the school year. Reed noted she is up for reelection in November.

They broke a conservative woman for weeks. Then they strutted her out as the prize.

That is a struggle session. Live. On American television.

Did you NOTICE how the Dhimmi Reporter Bryant Reed did not mention that CAIR is a designated terrorist organization in Texas and Florida.

He did not mention Zainab Chaudry - the same Chaudry who, after Hamas’s October 7 Islamic massacre, posted that reports of murdered Israeli babies were “fake” and compared Israel to the Nazis. Maryland put her on the state hate-crime commission, suspended her for those posts, then put her back because the law would not let the attorney general remove her. Lawmakers later stripped CAIR’s reserved seat from that commission.

That is who extracted the confession. That is who CBS treated as the moral authority of Baltimore County.

A foreign Islamic terrorist organization made her submit on U.S. soil. Local news filmed the re-education and called it healing.

That is how a SHARIA blasphemy norm arrives here - not as a bill titled Sharia, but as a resignation threat, a packed meeting, a mosque tour, and a CBS package.

Where is the women’s-rights machine? Silent. They will march over a cartoon about MAGA. They will not march over legal systems that veil, sequester, stone, and count a woman’s word and value as half.

Domanowski has three children in Baltimore County schools. Last year her own board censured her for asking budget questions. The Maryland State Board of Education later reversed that censure as an “egregious abuse of discretion.” She knows the cost of that room. This time she paid it twice. Once for CAIR. Once for television.

This only keeps working if conservatives allow this!

🚨 American conservatives: if CAIR is trying to break you, do not fold. Do not give them what they want. I will personally fight like hell for you. RAIR will fight back for you. We will NOT let you EVER stand alone! EVER!

Shame on every well-funded conservative organization in this country for not rushing in to stand with this woman. Where Are You!?

Organize around the next target before the apology is written. Show up at the meeting. Fund counsel. Call the board. Do not leave the next official alone in the room to be canceled on schedule and then displayed on the local news as proof the pressure worked.

CAIR already knows the play.

The rest of the right has to decide whether it will.
