@psomkarbuilds Companies do not (and did not) hire coders, they hire software engineers. And in building software, writing the actual code never really was the hardest thing to do, as opposed to realizing trade-offs, market timing, risks and so on.

When it comes to the real world, the consistent and stable delivery builds trust, and that builds an ecosystem. Creating "new postgres" is just not nearly enough.

So, there always must be adults in the room who write real world applications, not Twitter-Driven-Development.
