He is a pro!

@ClarkstonBball @J_Currie9 This team would guard you like nobody else. There were no easy baskets. Foster is still the smartest (could be the best as well) high school player we have ever played — it did not matter what coverage you tried he had the answers to the test.

It’s happening! The growth and maturity in Trell’s game while becoming a leader has been remarkable to watch.

Incredible!

One school. More than 30 Division I players since 2016. Five MLB draft picks since 2022, including a first-rounder, and four of them came off the same roster. Orchard Lake St. Mary's has sent players to the SEC, the ACC, the Big Ten, the Big 12 and the Ivy League.

Is this the best run of prospects a Michigan high school has ever had? If not, who's got a better case?

Maturity, humility, leadership and elite skills. Could end up as the most accomplished QB in St.Mary’s history — an elite student-athlete and human being.

[The D Zone @TheD_Zone]

Orchard Lake Saint Mary's 2027 QB Jabin Gonzales (Northwood commit) threw for 5 TD's and is having an amazing senior year.

He caught with The D Zone to update us on everything.

#6 Orchard Lake Saint Mary's (4-1) beat #7 Brother Rice (4-1) 48-20

As a college coach, I never used a recruiting service. I didn’t talk to AAU coaches. And I only talked to HS coaches once I started going to recruits HS games.

That’s why I’m good now when college coaches and our AAU players are handling their business. I don’t need the ego stroke of being involved, like so many do🙄

I’m there for them in any way that they need me. And I’ll always put them in positions to be successful💯 But the process is about the players, not their coaches

Potential over Production.

Curt Cignetti won a national title at Indiana with 8 blue-chip recruits and 5 starters from JMU.

Ben McCollum won 4 D-II titles at Northwest Missouri State, then turned a PG with zero D-I offers into the No. 16 pick in the NBA Draft.

Perception lies.

Incredible honor for Kalin Lucas this evening. Having had the opportunity to coach him at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s P'06, seeing the player, leader, and individual he has become makes this Hall of Fame recognition especially meaningful. Congratulations to Kalin — it most certainly is well earned.

The most rewarding part of this story is that he gives back at school in some way nearly every week since his playing career ended.

Congratulations to Kalin @Kjay24k — certainly well earned.
