4th and 5th grade Highland school students have the opportunity to utilize the new sewing machines in the HL Library over the next few weeks thanks to a PTA grant. Students are upcycling old t-shirts into tote bags for shopping at the upcoming PTA Book Fair.
Highland School staff member, Benson (our therapy dog), began reading with 3rd graders in the Highland School Library this week. Benson will make regular visits to the library this year and all students will have the opportunity to read to him.
Readathon Challenge Met!
The Highland and Godwin students exceeded the number of minutes read during the fall Readathon and finally received their prize. Highland and Godwin schools created teams to compete an obstacle course relay race. A fun time was had by all!!
The Midland Park Public School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Congrats to all our student musicians and instructional staff for their hard work!

We are pleased to announce the completion of the outdoor classroom at Highland School! Many thanks to the BOE, our parents, the PTA, the MPPEF, and TLC landscaping for working together to make this dream a reality. Future plans include providing tables, Wi-Fi, and more!

Highland is continuing its Grade 3 & 6 Mentor Program this year. Students wrote letters over the summer to mentors and are now collaborating in PE class on identified goals.
