@EuropeNotEU@LizWebsterSBF So what? If you vote to leave the EU for whatever reason, then move to an EU country (that shows no signs of leaving the EU any time soon) because it's better than your current country after leaving the EU, then you're a fucking idiot. Add as much nuance as you need, still true.
@willbanks02 Can't really blame them. The face value is where the problem is, and they have nothing to do with that. It would be weird of them to force people to take less than they paid the artist/promoter.
I guess they could cap their fee.
@AVMikhailova Why should we have a referendum to save a dying political party from losing to another one? How is that a valid reason? On second thought, how did we get to the point where people even feel comfortable suggesting this?
@ljin18 There's too many bad actors/money grabs and most audiences aren't ready or asking for it. I'm not saying never. Maybe once the tech has been more widely adopted for other (everyday) use cases.
@RocknTroll20@PoliticsJOE_UK That's not what this is. He's being shamed for being greedy and selfish while most of his customers are struggling because the company he runs is being greedy and selfish.
@DaveCon84 @1PartisanNews @cernusson Do you have some data on that? I'm sure we don't deport 100% and if they're rejected we should, but I'm curious how big of a problem this actually is in the context of all migration. Literally a fraction of a fraction of a fraction, right?
@DaveCon84 @1PartisanNews @cernusson My priority is ensuring we have efficient, humane and affordable procedures (which adhere to international law) for all different types of migrants. We have to be realistic and stop thinking there's an ultimate "deterrent" for such a complex situation.

@DaveCon84 @1PartisanNews @cernusson Are we just going around in circles? You're the one who keeps calling for a deterrent, I'm saying it doesn't exist.
@DaveCon84 @1PartisanNews @cernusson Because there's still a chance they'll be accepted. Also, they are individuals with different needs, goals, backgrounds, journeys... There will never be a one size fits all "deterrent" and there is nothing wrong with migrants having a preference for where to start their new life.
