He’s now stranded in the West African country of Liberia, after the U.S. deported him there as part of a controversial Trump administration effort to send deportees to “third countries” where they have no ties.

He told @camiloreports his deportation was “unjust,” saying he was deported to Liberia despite not having a criminal record.

Tellez Sanchez said he entered the U.S. illegally but was later granted a legal protection from being returned to Venezuela after an immigration judge found he could be persecuted there.
