@jstoner44@QuikTrip QT and its ice are among the best things to EVER happen to fountain drinks.
But you can't escape crazies in a personal vehicle. More people die and are hurt from crazies behind the wheel in a week than from public transit crazies in a year.
Doesn't change the fact the KC Streetcar is still a $600 million bus on rails, running in mixed traffic like a bus, with bus-like headways, and bus-like constraints
There's nothing it does that larger and more frequent buses couldn't for a fraction of the cost
Ridership on the Kansas City streetcar also hit a new record high, up 200% compared to this time last year, in the wake of the main street extension to UMKC!
The system now has more ridership than the Portland streetcars, and is set to be extended to the riverfront this year!
DT LS is indeed nice. One of my favs.
Downtown Parkville has the most picturesque setting
Downtown Indep is bigger
Downtown Olathe feels busier
LS is perhaps the best combination of clean, cute, & functional. Amtrak's presence makes it feel like a Chicago Metra suburb
Iโm working out of downtown Lees Summit this morning. It is easily our best suburban downtown and I am again surprised at how low-end and half-empty the neighborhood around it is. Even the little stretch of large Victorian homes on Douglas is fairly run down.
@Tasha1644 I am. Because I'm there to mind my business and let theirs alone. I'm not worried about them and I'm PERFECTLY confident they're even less worried about me
