19-year-old kids who became multimillionaires and still feel slighted. Meanwhile, the same fans who have passed down season tickets for a generation can no longer afford the games because of it.
We have all lost.
I’m not going to dismiss his perspective as being fraught with no reasoning, but the ability to dismiss what has become common in not meeting expectations is absolutely wild in this fan base for baseball.

Getting there shouldn’t be the metric when he’s gotten there and can’t win.
At that point, you’re cheering for runner-ups and participant trophies.
