@pastorlocke@realDonaldTrump "We are going to win"
Because of voter suppression? You're an idiot.
You can't just ignore reality because you like someone.
@meg6066 I think the right type of homework has its place, at least in math. 1-2 questions reviewing something from a while back. 3-4 relating to current problems, and a 5th one challenging or extending thinking. Homework shouldn't be skills practice but it should set the stage for class.
@jonlovett I'm a liberal in the (very) rural South. Recently other liberals have greeted me asking if I am "hoping for a recession so we get a new president" in very public places. I think they listen to your pod.
Can you give them some advice on messaging?
Just finished my first @Desmos activity that takes advantage of the computation layer! Planning on using this on Friday to talk about constructions/technology in math class.
What do you think?

@LaurenPorosoff @MissSlenzak That happens a lot on #mtbos.
Teaching with SEL in mind is good teaching, and can look different in different content areas.

@allison_krasnow@iteachmathAll I also bought so OSB board to put a backing on mine. Just the whiteboard part was so thin I thought the cinderblocks might make an impression over time. Used liquid nails to join the two, and hung using a hammer drill and tapcons. You're building maintenance can help with that!
@JASauer ... I think I've heard you mention something about the Pearson online component at Exeter. I'm curious about doing that because I think my admin would respond very positively to that data.
I know that the #DBLChat is still a day away, but I'm wondering if @JASauer (or anyone else) has any posts/tips/resources about using the Harkness method with a Pearson textbook. Just found out I have to stick closer to the book than I thought! #iteachmath
@JASauer The goal is to keep pace chapter by chapter, with students learning essentially the same stuff. I'm starting by identifying essential skills per chapter, then creating threads around those...
@MrChemGeek @jhough24 @officialkamihq Yep! I was able to load a few videos from last school year and the grade passback worked. I did check and saw I was grandfathered onto the pro teacher plan. Not sure if basic will work now
I became a #VNPS convert this summer. Here's day one of budget whiteboard construction. A geometry teacher should be able to make 90° cuts no problem, right?

@RepRickCrawford spreads hate and is un-American. I invite him to actually speak with the people living in his district - the people who have been told to "go back where they came from," and tell them to be less sensitive. Absolutely disgusting.
@MrJohnRowe @ARleadAcademy @geoffkrall Really thought, ECD is too conceptual for most teachers (at least in the US) and many https://t.co/7kiR9Rh5iX games are a more accessible method for teachers to implement GBA. The formal connection might be missing, but you've created tools that fit within the general purpose.
Finished my first draft of my action research project for @ARleadAcademy. I was interested in how to address mathematics anxiety, I can't thank @MrJohnRowe and @geoffkrall enough for their hard work.
I'd love feedback on my presentation:
