Dear Shri Narendra Modi Ji,

There are times when silence feels like surrender. Today is one of those times.

When I heard abusive words being hurled at you and your late mother, I felt a deep sense of anguish. Not because you are the Prime Minister, but because no son should have to hear the memory of his departed mother desecrated in the name of politics.

This is not the Bharat I grew up in.

We were taught that "Matr Devo Bhava", a mother is worthy of the highest respect. We were taught that disagreement can be fierce, but it must never become inhuman.

Governments can be questioned. Policies can be challenged. Elections can be fought and won. That is democracy.

But when abuse replaces argument, when hatred drowns out humanity, and when a departed mother becomes the target of political rage, it is not merely an attack on one individual, it reflects a decline in our public discourse.

History will judge leaders by their decisions. But history will also judge societies by the values they chose to uphold.

I refuse to accept that civility has become a weakness and decency an inconvenience.

Whatever our political beliefs, let us never lose our humanity. Let us ensure that our children inherit a democracy where ideas are contested with reason, not where families and the departed are dragged into abuse.

I stand for a Bharat that debates with conviction, disagrees with dignity, and never forgets the values that define our civilisation.
