Logged back into my Twitter this morning after a year of logging out. Looking forward to catching up with what’s been happening recently! #trainee#education
Thankfully, this doesn’t put me off teaching. In fact, it makes me want to be a better educator and a beacon of support for colleagues who are struggling. If you are thinking of quitting, remember why you got into teaching and what an encouragement you are to your classes!
It saddens me to read on Twitter and hear of teachers I know and admire leaving the profession due to working in a negative environment.
This should never be the case in a school - they should be places where teachers and children learn from each other, and celebrate achievements
@missrgaskell Keep remembering why you first wanted to be a teacher, and let that be the driving force through your training. You’ll end up in a lovely school if you know what you want in a school. Wishing you all the best
This is the story of my school life. I’ve never known a department as nurturing and welcoming as the music department in a school. They showed me the person that I am today!
Last night I witnessed an excellent performance of “Once on this Island” from @GreatSankeyHS and @BarrowHallColl. So encouraging to see young people who love the Performing Arts giving it their all and clearly loving every minute! Music really does being people together!
When I'm writing assignments, I like to reward myself with a piece of chocolate for each word count milestone (e.g, 1 piece for every 200 words written). That way, I can't feel bad about getting through a whole bar of chocolate since I'll have a completed assignment!! @EHU_FOE
What a week! Uni lectures and assignment writing has used up the majority of my time. Hoping for a restful weekend. Well done to you all for getting through this week with all of the challenges it may have shown! #trainee
I know one shouldn't talk abt reviews but... a 3 star review for 1 of my books saying 'children will adore it but I found it childish' is an interesting take for a CHILDREN'S BOOK. What next? 'I thoroughly enjoyed this adult novel but it was completely unsuitable for my 8 yr old'
