@tuftelndotnet @POTAspots Actually did not use a tuner. I need to trim the wire a bit more to get 40 and 20 dialed in, at which point I may need a tuner on 15. My tested SWR with today’s deployment was about 2:1 on 40 and 20. My SWR was under 1.5:1 across the CW portion of 15 today though.

@HamRadioBasics I was torn between the KX2 and 705. I opted for the 705 because the extra features and waterfall were more appealing than the saved weight/size. I’ll use it traveling, not just hiking. Wish the 705 had a tuner, but I mostly use resonant antennas anyway.
