Selling a course has negative connotations bc of all the scammers and frauds, especially in this industry.

That creates a paradox.

How does one help the retail trader with a product that genuinely benefits them (certainly compared to the bs out there), while also not coming off as a scammer and a fraud?

My answer has been to donate all proceeds, provide tons of high-value free content, & try to position myself as a verified trusted source. Trillium, SMB, Kinfo, Market Wizards, & more have all verified me yet still many doubt.

You win people over through time and experience. You create content that helps them learn or changes their thinking. You hold events that help them connect with other traders. You listen to their stories and struggles at trader meetups and via email. You share your own story in Market Wizards or through content.

For every hater you see talking trash online, there are 99 silent people that are appreciative and benefiting. It’s the reason why every YouTube video I do has a 99% like rate. It’s the reason why I get daily emails about how I’ve helped change someone’s life.

Admittedly, I fight an uphill battle. If you wade into a cesspool, it’s inevitable that you’re going to seem like you are also full of shit :)

Just because something is difficult, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it though. I don’t mind the skepticism I get because I have believe in what I’m doing and know my own intentions.
