"They may not remember your mission statement....They will remember that you always had their back"
A great summary of what a truly great educational leader should be....

The internet needs to be made a "subject" in schools. This cannot be "taught" but it can be learned by children using SOLEs. After years of saying this, Finland seems to have listened.

@ElissaGelleny A3: A weird feeling of trepidation putting yourself on display for all your peers to see. I feel that everything has to be just perfect or I can't hit publish. #cohort21
@ElissaGelleny A2: Two reasons:
1) Relief that others are facing the same difficulties I am. It's nice to know we're all in it together.
2) Incredible ideas and resources that have already been tweaked and refined to near perfection
Hi all....here for a bit until I'm on bedtime duty with my daughter
A1: mostly nervousness but also some excitement to finally get things down

@mstinajagdeo A5 - I'll be speaking at a retreat for our Grade 12s in a couple of weeks. I'll be sharing personal stories about my life. Maybe not so risky, but more making myself vulnerable. I find the experience really contributes to that feeling of mutual respect that I strive for #Cohort21
@lemthelibrarian A4 - No support needed. Just need to stop procrastinating and publish already (which, incidentally, is the draft title of my first blog) #Cohort21
@mstinajagdeo@CISOntario A3 - I've got a very easy going personality which leads to me to have a great rapport with my students. My classrooms are places of mutual respect, which I find minimizes any classroom management issues #Cohort21
@lemthelibrarian A2 - I'm grateful to be working with fantastic colleagues who are always there when you need a laugh, as well as being privileged to teach a respectful, dedicated student body #Cohort21
