This will be my final post from this account. I am running the London Marathon and would appreciate any support for my fundraising efforts for the Scottish Refugee Council.
Unfortunately, this platform has ceased to do much good. This provides some:

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
“No one has greater love than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends.“ John 15:13
Maximilian Maria Kolbe was the very embodiment of this message - and a shining light of goodness in the some of the darkest days which have shamed humanity.

@MrRobHistory Agree with Nicola and Caz. Don’t use the primary/secondary terminology at all. I always encourage pupils to use positive arguments for both author and timing for secondary as well as primary. Timing - useful due to the benefit of hindsight. Author - useful due to their expertise.
@RestPoliticsUS@Scaramucci@KattyKay_ One question I do have is on the elastic clause. I have tried to explain this to my high school politics students in the past and have always found this challenging. To what extent does this make the US constitution flexible or is it as grey an area as it seems?
@RestPoliticsUS@Scaramucci@KattyKay_ Not a question but could you give a shout out to the Biggar High School Politics class who have just started learning about the US political system? It’ll only take about a 1/000th of a scarmucci to do it!
@blairmcdougall Totally agree, Blair. I just worry about what a Trump-led USA concedes to Putin and the fall out from that. A very concerning time for liberal democracy.
Congratulations on your election win!
@StewartMcDonald Watched you on the Ponsonby/Massie podcast earlier. I thought your analysis was well thought out and accurate. Your magnanimity in defeat is to be admired and used as an example.

@ElectionMapsUK Ordered one for my classroom. Will be referring to it with my politics class throughout the next 5 years - a fine investment. Thanks for producing!
The peaceful transfer or consolidation of power in public office is an opportunity not afforded to many societies around the world. It is worth bearing that, despite all the problems in our society, it is one we should cherish and defend.
When they say politicians aren’t relatable, all you need is a video of the FM about to be travel sick as his bus whistles past a bunch of trees.
Relatable to this bad passenger.
