@ghostowlredux@kisstheblade_@KarolusWangus And any schmuck can use a stethoscope to find the heart and put a mark for them to aim at. The same cannot be said for finding a vein for lethal injection as they have proven time and time again.
I nudge @MrsDoubleshot in the ribs at Mass
Me: “do I have to confess that I’m jealous of the deacon’s beard?”

@bilbosfootcomb If you eventually want to place the odyssey where it belongs in Greek mythology, I highly recommend Stephen Fry’s Mythos series.
You get a primer on all the deities, then the heroes, and finally the story of Troy and the journeys home from it.
@bilbosfootcomb After you read a more traditional translation, I highly recommend Steven Fry’s latest in hi Mythos series, Odyssey. In fact the entire series is an excellent retelling of myths, heroes, Troy, and now the aftermath
@go_oat You see, the gangsters, drunks, rapists, nazis, pedophiles, and satanists are in a smaller/closer circle than the rest of humanity to them, so they have to love them more.

@MmePapyraceus That is true, hadn’t considered that part. Was just thinking “if this was two countries with no travel between, which would I prefer to be in?”
I entirely decided that based on the cities and natural wonders, not the people.
