Nothing difficult, but it still takes time and requires understanding the project.

That’s basically junior dev work: simple tasks, real project knowledge.

I finished my tasks yesterday — just implementing a /user/me endpoint.

The endpoint itself is easy. What surprised me was how much needs to exist behind it.

With NestJS, I had to set up a hash service, JWT service, auth guard, cookie parser for refresh tokens, dependencies, and more.

Not complaining though. Once it’s set up properly, it keeps the code clean and saves a lot of time later.

The solution? Change the API call.

Just read the docs more carefully.

This was just one example, but programming has some crazy bugs.

Built a tournament management platform with my team for this year’s Start for Life Ukraine 🚀

I wrote ~50% of the backend, working with NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM and Docker.

The project got way bigger than we initially expected 💀
