This time, I wanted to understand why Grok is spreading the lie that “discrimination” against white people in South Africa has caused their reduced fertility rates. That’s not just an incredibly stupid lie, it’s an incredibly dangerous one to attempt to embed as truth.

At its core, this is Elon’s insidious attempt to smuggle in, by stealth, the idea that there is a “white genocide” underway in South Africa, supposedly achieved through lowering fertility rates. It’s the Great Replacement conspiracy theory, dressed up as demography and scholarship.

I’m glad we caught this early, before it metastasized into a mainstream narrative that becomes difficult to dismantle.

As per usje, here, Grok’s reasoning dismantled in-thread, forcing it to pivot. Whether its memory updates or not, I’m increasingly confident there’s been owner-level interference, or, at minimum, tuning drift, in how it handles South African issues. Grok has even admitted in the past that it defaults to Elon Musk’s tweets when answering “controversial” questions.

South Africa, This is going to be a momentous battle for truth in the age of AI. And it’s one worth fighting.
