For decades, researchers have sought materials that sort electrons by spin while their magnetism cancels.

In 3 days, 90+ Opus 5.5 agents helped us uncover two room-temperature magnetic semiconductor candidates in simulations: YBaMnFeO₅ and KV[Cr(CN)₆].

KV[Cr(CN)₆] was synthesized back in 1999. Its predicted ability to sort electrons by spin appears to have been hiding in plain sight for 27 years.

@iliasconfidency Nice demo, but Truck routing is a lot more complex and re routing is unlikely in most cases due to low bridges, restricted access and security. You would need a lot more data than it's worth.

@skorusARK The vehicles will still experience charging and servicing downtime. The focus on driver's today being a bottleneck is the wrong metric. How optimised is the fleet operations? Where are they parked to reduce dwell time? Who's changing tires, getting vehicles back on the road?

@wintonARK Owning compute is valuable. Owning demand is usually more valuable. The hyperscalers became dominant not because they built data centres, but because they already controlled the software ecosystems (data, distribution, devs) that generated sustained demand for those data centres.
