Geely bought stake in Volvo and Polestar, both brands went down the drain. So much so Polestar just makes loss. Tata owns Range Rover, look at sales.

India has to protect its domestic brands and German companies who have made significant investments in India. Just like US is trying to do with Chinese EV’s.
