@EastMidRailway Looking great! The 158s are my favourite. And the refurb has made them feel even more spacious. For me the layout is even better than the new Aurora. Favourite feature is the chunky window sill; all trains should 'ave 'em
@EastMidRailway Wow! Refurbished rolling stock on the Crewe ยป Derby service. I can't quite believe it. Very smart. And charging points! Thank you ๐๐ป
@NCT_Buses Do you still have any electric double deckers in your fleet? What are the chances I was on one on the 61 yesterday evening? It was great: new, clean, comfortable and silent
@PaulWarboLE @EastMidRailway Because, much to the annoyance of EMR, the city council has designated this footbridge as a public right of way, which needs to remain open to all at all times
@helenpidd Loving your work on Today in Focus - the Rise of Reform and Contested Histories being notable recent episodes. Balanced, compassionate and playfully inquisitive reporting; I look forward to more in 2025!
@kevjs1982@urbinfonotts Yes, it does seem to be more intended as a leisure link rather than a commuter route. Can you imagine a new road bridge over the Trent being proposed with no new direct routes leading to/from it?!
@kevjs1982@urbinfonotts I knew you'd know, thanks. Although both Flo and Trent Basin connections are "potential routes" suggesting these are subject to developer's whim rather than City intention. And likely not to be ready by the time the bridge completes
@kevjs1982@urbinfonotts Do you know how the new bridge is proposed to connect to the current cycle infrastructure to the north, along Daleside Road? Is it to the east via Trent Lane (and the Pedestrian crossing), or will it link west through Flo's current site (being cleared to build the bridge)?
