A subtle England penalty shootout innovation (since 2021) is their deliberate, structured & functional use of social psychology.
Here, Saka is picked up by John Stones after his penalty, to swiftly welcome him back in the team.
What did England do and why did they do it?

@HathawayAcademy I am so sorry to hear this. I worked with James at Hathaway many years ago and was always blown away by his relentless motivation and drive to do right by the kids. A genuinely great man
@shadylady222 Hey Becky! ππΌ
I left teaching back in 2021. Iβve worked at 3 companies since and make significantly more than I would as a teacher (not a brag - just confirming itβs π― do-able).
@MrBufton AFAIK thereβs no set policy - completely down to your employer and what theyβve agreed personally with you, I.e not every teacher gets a R&R payment (in fact, itβs very few that do).
@SF_England Hey ππΌ Trying to get a settlement figure to repay my PG Loan. So far Iβve called you twice - first time gave up after 55 mins on hold, second after 1hr10 mins.
Any way of getting this online instead?

AI continues to make unbelievable advances in healthcare.
Researchers have just created a brain implant that decodes thoughts into synthesized speech allowing paralyzed patients to communicate through a digital avatar.
This is incredible:
-The implant converts brain signals into text at nearly 80 words per minute, focusing on phonemes vs. whole words to enhance speed.
-The AI generates realistic vocals (mirroring a patientβs pre-injury voice) and facial animations that aim to enable more natural communication.
-The breakthrough brings the tech closer to real-world use, with the next step being a wireless model that doesnβt require a physical connection to the interface.
Restoring communication for those with paralysis is an innovation that would change countless lives.
While it sounds crazy, mind-reading implants seem to be inching closer to reality.
@Flatfooted75 @MrDelaneyMFL Definitely out there. My first role was Β£33k + car, then on to Β£55k + bonus in 3 months. The latter was far more than I would have earned as a teacher.
@MrDelaneyMFL Just hit my 2 year anniversary of leaving teaching - and heading into job #3. Give me a shout if you want to chat - LOTS of roles out there suitable for ex-teachers!
